The boys and girls golf team played a match at Big Canoe Golf Club on March 24 against neighboring Pickens County.

The boys won 180-202, while the girls were narrowly defeated 98-97.

Wesley Bearden led the boys with a 9-hole total of 40. John Chameli and Clay Glover both shot a 45 over a tough course. Caleb Samples posted a 50 for the match.

On the girls’ side, three golfers came home with identical scores.

Tayler Hasbrouck, Becca Dotson and Rachel Dotson all scored a 49 to lead the Lady Tigers.

Tatum Turner finished out the girls scoring with a 50.

Both teams will be off this week due to spring break.

The teams will return to action April 11 when they will travel to Hartwell to tee off against a tough Bulldog team. The golfers will play at 4 p.m. at Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell.
