Golfers take on Central

The Dawson County High School boys and girls golf teams traveled to Lanier Country Club on March 24 for a match against Forsyth Central.

  

The boys lost a close match to the Bulldogs by three strokes, 170-173.

  

Cody Palmer was low medalist for the Tigers with a 9-hole total of 39.

  

Palmer was followed by teammates Zach Williams with a 41, Wesley Bearden shot a 44, and John Chameli came home with a 49.

  

On the girls’ side, the Lady Tigers lost to the Lady Bulldogs, 96-107.

  

Rachel Dotson led the Lady Tigers with a 9-hole total of 49. Lady Tiger Erin Pruitt shot a 58, followed by Tayler Hasbrouck with a 59, and Jessi Phillips finished with a 62.

  

Both teams are currently off until after spring break.

  

The next golf match will be April 12 with a home match against Jackson County.
