The Dawson County High School boys' golf team is undefeated at 14-0 going into Spring Break.

The Tigers picked up six wins over the last week.

On March 20, Dawson County defeated both West Hall, 176-215, and Chestatee, 176-194. The match was played at Chestatee Golf Club.

Jake Phillips was low medalist for the match. He shot a 39 during the nine-hole event.

"Jake (Phillips) has been playing solid at the number one position. He is strong off the tee and has put in a lot of time on his short game recently," said Head Coach Wes Greer. "There is still work to be done and he (Phillips) has had a great attitude at continuing to improve as the leader of this team."

Also posting good scores in the match were: John Pulley-43, Hunter Burt-46 and Jordan Parson-48.

At Hampton's Golf Course on March 24 the Tigers captured two more wins. The teams defeated North Forsyth, 170-181, and Lumpkin County, 170-215.

The tournament was the second round of "The Border War Challenge" between the three schools.

The third and final round will be played on April 10 at Achasta Golf Course in Dahlonega.

Currently Greer's team has a 27-stroke lead over North and a 75-shot lead over the Indians.

In the March 24 match, Phillips once again led the way. He posted a score of 40.

Phillips was closely followed by teammates: Burt-42, Pulley-44 and Jeffrey Parton-44.

Dawson County's third and final match before Spring Break was against East Hall on March 27 at Chestatee Golf Club.

The Tigers came away with a convincing 167-206 victory.

Both Phillips and Burt shared the low medalist with a round of 39 each.
