Gilreath named to first team
Costley, Parker receive honorable mentions

Dawson County High School Sophomore Lady Tiger Carly Gilreath was named to the first team 8-AA Sub-Region team last week. Gilreath was the only sophomore on the first team.

 

“I am very proud of Carly,” said Head Coach Steve Sweat.

 

Joining Gilreath on the first team are: Most valuable player, Brooke Thomas (Fannin County), Krista Dixon (Rabun County), Jasmine Jenkins (East Hall) and Holli Abernathy (Union County).

 

Named to the second team are: Madison Franklin (Banks County), Morgan Jackson (East Hall), Kaileigh Satterfield (Fannin County), Rabun Wright (Rabun County) and Rebecka Merritt (Union County).

 

Lady Tigers Allie Costley and Natalie Parker were named to the honorable mention team.

 

Costley is also a sophomore for Sweat’s team, while Parker finished out her high school career and will graduate in May.

 

Also named to the honorable mention team were: Cherish Evans and Lauren Junnier from Fannin County, Angie Hughes (Union County), Taylor Kennedy and Deasha Beasly (Banks County), Natalie Johnson (East Hall), Savannah Reeves and Sally Woerner both from Rabun County.
