The Dawson County High School Cross Country team participated in a run at Buck’s Corn Maze on Oct. 9.

This is an annual event for Coach Brian DeRose’s team and is in the format of a scavenger hunt.

“Every year Buck’s donates a Friday to us where we go out and do the race through the maze in support of our cross country team,” said DeRose.

This year assistant coach John Lundy and senior cross country runner Logan Porter came out as the winners of the event.

“We want to thank Buck for his letting us use his corn maze and look forward to going out there next year,” said DeRose.

The Lady Tigers’ cross country team is currently ranked No. 4 in AA in the state.

Dawson will run against Buford today in what should be a test for both the girls’ and boys’ teams.

The junior varsity team will run at Riverside Military Academy this Saturday, while the varsity boys will return to Riverside next Saturday, Oct. 31.
