Dawson County High School Head Boy’s Basketball Coach Thad Burgess has announced that the Saturday, Dec. 13 game against Pacelli High School (Columbus) will be played at Philips Arena before the Atlanta Hawks game with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The girl’s game will be played at 1:15 p.m., followed by the boy’s game around 3 p.m. The Hawks game will begin at 7 p.m.

“We will be taking cheerleaders, and we will involve both middle schools,” said Burgess. “We are going to try and get the community involved and have Dawsonville well represented.”

Burgess added, “It should be a big night, especially with Olympic winner, LeBron James, and a playoff team like Cleveland. This date is a prime date for the Hawks and it should be a big crowd.”

Burgess would also like to announce that if anyone is interested in purchasing tickets they are $30.

The ticket will allow you to attend both the girls and boys game and the NBA game.

For more information or tickets, contact Burgess or girls coach Steve Sweat at Dawson County High School at (706) 265-6555.
