Dawson County High School varsity girls basketball coach Steve Sweat's Class AAA runners-up Lady Tigers team is busily preparing for another successful season.

The team is participating and practicing this summer by taking part in many different team camps.

Dawson County is going to have to replace six graduating seniors. Gone are Carly Gilreath, Kenna Seitz, Whitney Glover, Kacie Bearden, Hannah Porter and Allie Costley.

Sweat will use games and practices this summer to evaluate talent for the varsity.

Returning to the program will be: Sheyenne Seabolt, Haley and Lauren Burgess, Hannah Moye, Jordan Moore, Madison Shope, Karlie Bearden, Alison Honea and Peytan Porter off of last year's 27-6 season.

"We have filled up the month of June with practices and camps," Sweat said. "It has already been an exciting week of practice. The girls are already working hard on making another run next year."

The team plans to participate in team camps at the University of North Georgia, Pickens County, Jefferson and Georgia College in June.
