Winford E. "Biscuit" Burt, 77, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 20, 2011.

Born Oct. 25, 1934, to the late Alonzo and Nettie Burt, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.

Mr. Burt owned and operated Winford Burt Paving and was an avid race fan.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends and was a member of Juno Baptist Church.

His sisters, Cleo Whelchel and Inez McGuire; brothers, Clyde Burt, Carl Burt, Ted Burt, Howard Burt and Dean Burt, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Laura Mae Burt of Dawsonville; children, Elizabeth and Jerry Keasler, Eugene and Jennifer Burt, Everett and Sonya Burt, all of Dawsonville; sister, Irene Harben of Dawsonville; sisters-in-law, Golda Heard of Dawsonville, Lynn Burt of Auburn, Helen Burt of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Jeremy and Lisa Keasler, Tiffany Keasler, Natalie Burt, Andrew Burt, Logan Burt, Carley Burt; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 22 at Juno Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Weldy, Dennis Bottoms and Russell Burt officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
