Vera Sasser, 83, of Dawsonville, died May 6, 2013.
Born Jan. 14, 1930, in Dayton, Tenn., to the late Floyd and Eula Mae Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Sasser maintained a house on Lake Lanier since the 1950s and made their permanent residence in 1994.
Mrs. Sasser was a homemaker and member of the Dawsonville United Methodist Church.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed all sports and music.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Harry Sasser of Dawsonville; sons, Mark Sasser of Buford, Craig Sasser of Key West, Fla.; sister, Louise Smith of Gainesville; brother, Melvin Robinson of Griffin; grandchildren, Kristi Sasser, April Browning, Daniel Sasser, Ethan Sasser, Nathan Sasser; great-grandchildren, Kember Browning, Grace Browning and Georgia Lee Sasser.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 12 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sean B. Smith officiating. Entombment followed in Sawnee View Gardens.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
