Teresa "Terry" Waters McElroy, 70, of Dawsonville, died April 14, 2019.

Born June 16, 1948 and raised in Mableton, GA, Terry was a graduate of South Cobb High School where she met her husband. 

She worked for AT&T in Gainesville, GA for 25 years and almost never missed a day of work. 

A devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and nana, her family was her life.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Edith Waters, and brother, Frank Waters.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Mike McElroy; children, Shelley Cox, Brandon McElroy; sister, Marsha "Skeet" Waters Evans; grandchildren, Sydney and Keith Holtzclaw, Riley Cox; nephews, Ronnie "Sug" Hall, Brian Hall; great-nephew, Jacob Hall, all of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on April 18 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Ricky Stepp will officiate.  Interment will follow the funeral at Niblewill Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and again on April 18 from noon until the hour of service. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.
