Sammy Moore, 39, of Dahlonega, died July 19, 2010.

  

Sammy was born Oct. 14, 1970 in Cumming. He is the son of Glenn Moore of Lawrenceville and the late Barbara (Gaddis) Moore.

  

He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County, serving as a deacon for nine years. He was a member of Etowah Masonic Lodge #222 in Dawsonville, serving as chaplain.

  

He was a coach to his son, Camden, in all sports and a great example to all his players and fellow coaches.

  

Survivors include his loving wife, April (Vickery) Moore of Dahlonega; son, Camden Moore; daughter, Addison-Iva Moore; father, Glenn Moore of Lawrenceville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Frank LeBaron, Teri and Sam Gilleland; sister, Lauren Moore; honorary brother, Shannon Sheffield; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Faye and Kent McIntosh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Scott and Donna Vickery; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Timothy and Heather Vickery; nephews and nieces, Kelton and Kenna LeBaron and Wyatt Vickery; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 21 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Pilcher officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

The Etowah Masonic Lodge served as honorary pallbearers.

  

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
