Ruth Catherine Hummel, 92, of Dawsonville, formerly of Florida, died Nov. 16, 2018.

Ruth lived a long and active life. She loved to quilt and go to White Water with her grandchildren.

Ruth was born in Philadelphia in 1926. She enjoyed roller-skating, even up to the age of 80. While roller skating was one of her favorite things to do, her family was number one.

Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Joseph Hummel; her parents; her siblings, and grandson, Nathan Stanley. 

She is survived by her children,  Joseph Elwood Hummel, Janet Ruth Weinman, Edward Alexander Hummel and Richard Harrison Hummel; grandchildren, Shelley Caine, Joe Freeman, John David Hummel, Joshua Hummel, Christie Hummel, Cyndi Hummel and Angie Stanley; great grandchild, Trinity Hummel; and grand-pup, Monty; various other relatives also survive.

No services are planned at this time.
