Ruby May Jones, 85, of Dawsonville, died July 12, 2012.

Born Oct. 10, 1926, in Hall County to the late Ernest and Arveline Wilson, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Her husband, Mather Jones; sons, Lloyd Jones, Joe David Jones, Danny Jones; sisters, Edith Cochran, Gladys Wilson; and brothers, Roger Wilson and Doyle Wilson, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Ben and Nancy Jones of Gainesville, Harold A. and Shirley Jones of Cumming, Ray and Linda Jones of Jasper, J.C. and Nora Jones, Ronald and Linda Jones, all of Dawsonville; sister, Ruth Payne of Dalton; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. July 16 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jason Bailey officiating. Interment followed in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
