Roy Holland, 61, of Dawsonville, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010.

  

A native of Dawson County, Mr. Holland had been living in Lumpkin County for the past 10 years.

  

He worked most of his life as a carpenter, was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a son, David Holland; father, Asburry Holland; and sister, Barbara Beavers.

  

Survivors include his children, Wayne Holland, Shelby Holland, both of Jefferson; mother, Nadine Holland of Dawsonville; sisters, Lillian Funderburk of Dahlonega, Brenda Hampel, Deborah Johnson, both of Dawsonville; brothers, Lamar Holland, Jerry Holland, both of Dawsonville; several grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15 at Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. J.W. Day and C.B. Martin officiating.

  

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
