Ron Watson, 74, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 29, 2014.

Born April 23, 1940 in Los Angeles, Calif. to the late Ray and Jennie Watson, he moved to Dahlonega in 1980 and to Dawson County in 1990.

Mr. Watson retired as a fork lift operator for Shasta Beverage after 18 years of service.

His sister, Kathy McNutt; and brother, Bob Watson, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Pam Watson of Dawsonville; children, Jeffery Watson of Pennsylvania, Paul and Susan Watson of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Kelsey Watson of Dawsonville; sister, Colleen Worlitiz of Redondo Beach, Calif.; brother, John Watson of Glendale, Calif.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Oct. 2 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Ziemer officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
