Robert W. Vasquez, 82, died March 4, 2016.
Mr. Vasquez was born Oct. 7, 1933 in Plainfield, N.J., to the late William and Pauline Rose Vasquez.
He lived 30 years in Atlanta and, after his retirement, lived in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., before moving to Dawson County.
Robert retired as Southeast Regional Administrative Manager for Unical Chemicals after more than 30 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended Bethel United Methodist Church.
His wife, Martha Trump Vasquez; son Jeffery Wayne Vasquez; and a brother, Jimmy McCoy, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Sandra Vasquez of Acworth, David and Carol Vasquez of Dacula; grandchildren, Ben Vasquez, Emily and Matthew Benson, Alexis Vasquez, Zach Vasquez; sister and brother-in-law, Frederic and Dick Whitney of Winfield, W.V.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith McCoy of Flemington, N.J., Thom and Susan McCoy of Manasquan, N.J., Cathy McCoy of Barnegat, N.J.; various other relatives also survive.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. March 12 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Vasquez will then be placed in Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday.
