Robert G. Fauscett
Obituaries

Robert G. Fauscett, 47, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 8, 2017.

Born Sept. 17, 1970, Robert was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.  He was a graduate of Dawson County High School and worked as a residential builder.

Robert was a loving father to Maggie and Benjamin.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, reading and music and instilled an appreciation for the outdoors in his children.  Nothing made him happier than time with his family and friends.

His involvement and volunteer work at Bearfoot Ranch was an activity that he valued greatly and one that he shared with his daughter.  He acquired a family at Bearfoot Ranch which he held dear to his heart as they have remained a consistent support to him and his family.  Robert and his son enjoyed spending time traveling and golfing.

Despite his persistent struggle to overcome a long term battle with depression and alcoholism, he managed to touch the lives of others with his humor, kindness and generosity.  He will be missed greatly and will remain in our hearts as we know that he is free from his fight and is at long last enjoying eternal peace.

Survivors include his children, Margaret Fauscett, Benjamin Fauscett, and their mother, Erica Fauscett of Cumming; mother, Caroline Fauscett of Dawsonville; father and stepmother, Marvin and Martha Fauscett of Dawsonville; sister, Amanda Fauscett and her fiancé, Brett Tattnall of Athens; nephew, Dylan Tattnall; stepsisters, Jill Farmer of Atlanta, Holly Farmer of Dawsonville; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Greg and Kara Farmer of Seattle, Wash.; various other relatives also survive.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Holtzclaw officiating.

The family will receive friends beginning at noon today.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bearfoot Ranch “Rescue Barn," 9220 Waldrip Road, Gainesville, Ga. 30506.

Bearden Funeral Home in Dawsonville is charge of the arrangements.
