Ricky Jenkins, 56, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 3, 2015.

Born April 14, 1958 in Marietta to the late Junior and Louise Jenkins, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 38 years, having moved from Cumming.

Ricky worked many years as a commercial truck driver and was a member of Christian Hill Baptist Church.

His first wife, Donna Jenkins; and a son, Shane Jenkins, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Faye Jenkins of Dawsonville; children, Shannon Evans of Cumming, Stacey and Josh Coker, Brandy Jenkins, all of Dawsonville, Casey Gauldin of Acworth, William Gauldin, Rachel and James Holbrook, all of San Antonio, Texas; 17 grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Bill Bennett, Sherry and Eddie Waters, Lisa and Mike Waters, all of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Edna Jenkins of Gainesville, David and Kay Jenkins of Dahlonega, Steven and Chris Jenkins of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 7 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Barry Payne, Rex Byrd and Carroll Pruitt officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
