Rev. Harold Truelove

Rev. Harold Truelove, 82, of Dahlonega, died June 21, 2011.

Born Oct. 6, 1928 in White County to the late Lee and Vicie Truelove, he lived most of his life in Lumpkin County. For many years, he worked in dry wall and residential construction.

The Rev. Truelove was ordained in 1961 and served as pastor of Hightower Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Siloam Baptist Church, Sunrise Baptist Church in Cleveland, Tenn., River Hill Baptist Church in Ellijay and Piney Grove Baptist Church in Woodstock.

His son, Thomas Gary Truelove; grandson, Douglas Ingram; sisters, Alwayne Satterfield, Sandra Lambert and a brother, Grant Truelove, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ruby Truelove of Dahlonega; children, Anne Walker, Stephen Truelove, both of Dahlonega, Chrylene and Robert Berry of Jesup; sisters, Virginia Greenway of Dahlonega, Cuelene Patterson of Cleveland, Tenn.; brother and sister-in-law, L.C. and Shirley Truelove of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Gregory and Hollie Ingram, Corey Truelove and Bobbie Beavers, Kayla Garrett and Nick Blue, Stephen Truelove Jr.; nine great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 23 at Mill Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Lamar Beason, Franklin Harper and Jimmy Patterson officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
