Rev. Gerald Rudolph Carnes

The Rev. Gerald Rudolph Carnes, 74, of Cleveland, died Nov. 22, 2016.

Gerald was born in Cumming in 1942, to the late George and Allison Carnes.

He was a member and home preacher of Siloam Baptist Church in Cumming.

The Rev. Carnes will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, his brother, Hugh Carnes, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Carnes of Cleveland; children, Redina Ann Carnes, Pam and Rex Heard, all of Dawsonville, Timmy Carnes, Rodney Carnes, both of Cleveland, Billy and Carrie Carnes, Darlene Carnes, all of Cumming; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Annette Carnes of Cumming; sisters and brother-in-law, Loyce and Cloyce Hicks of Cumming, Barbara Reagin of Dahlonega; granddaughter, Hayley Ainsworth; grandsons, Jeff and Dustin Heard, Josh, Tabor, Jess, Ethan and Carson Carnes; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 26 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Ruel Martin, Harold Bottoms and Jack Biddy officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
