Randy Gene Fausett, 59, of Dawsonville, died April 8, 2016.

Born Dec. 20, 1956 to the late Randell and Doris Fausett, he was a lifelong resident of Dawson County. A graduate of Dawson County High School and Pickens Tech, Randy owned and operated Amicalola Appliance Repair. An accomplished musician, he played in various musical groups and was a founding member of the local group, Little Mountain.

He was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.

His son, Jake Eugene Fausett, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his son, Zachery Fausett of Dawsonville; mother of his children, Roxanne Fausett Howard of Dawsonville; special aunt, Brenda Gilreath of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. April 10 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Burt officiating. Interment followed in the Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Jake Fausett Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 2003, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
