Peggy Jo Young, 77, of Cumming, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Peggy was born in Monticello, to the late Arthur D. and Bessie Reid Simmons, and moved to Cumming in 1983.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Earnest R. Young of Cumming; children, Earnie and Christa Young of Phenix City, Ala., Darrell and Tracey Young of Lawrenceville, Joseph and Erin Young of Cumming; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sept. 15 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Garry English and Dennis Bottoms officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 5640 Oak Grove Circle, Cumming, GA 30028.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
