Pearl Florence Chastain, 91, of Cumming, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009.

  

Mrs. Chastain was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Dawsonville for over 70 years.

  

She had served as a teacher and as a prayer warrior in the Prayer Group Ministry.

  

Her son, Ray Chastain, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, James Chastain; four daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Ed Gabriel of Oakwood, Wanda and Walter Elliott, Jean and Darrell Crowe, all of Gainesville, Jamie and James Thompson of Cumming; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beatrice Stowers of Clermont and Matlyn Hood of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Bethel United Methodist Church in Dawsonville. Interment followed in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Bethel UMC Prayer Group Ministry, 100 Lumpkin Campground Road South, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
