Nora L. Neal, 93, of Dawsonville, died July 21, 2017.
Born April 7, 1924 to the late Earl and Mae Roland, she was a lifelong resident of Dawson County.
A homemaker at her death, Nora was formerly employed at Burlington Industries, the Dawson County School System and the Dawson County Day Care Center.
She enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family and friends.
Her husband, Rainey H. Neal Sr.; son-in-law, Thomas Mote; sisters, Geraldine Roland, Lorene Ayers, Bobbie Duncan, Betty Waters; and a brother, Dewey Roland, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Mote, Judy and Carroll Walls, Joyce Neal, all of Dawsonville, Rainey H. Jr. and Rosalyn Neal of Flowery Branch, Danny Neal of Oakwood; grandchildren, Tony and Cammie Neal , Adriene and Kevin MacKinnon, Melissa Moore, Jason Mote, Joey and Leslie Walls, Ansley Mote and Craig Maxfield; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Imogene Bryant of Cumming; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy Roland of Dahlonega, Billy and Annie Roland of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. July 23 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Interment followed in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
