Mattie Lee Day, 79, a lifelong resident of Cumming, died Oct. 18, 2010.

  

She was a lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church of Cumming.

Mattie was born Nov. 23, 1930.

  

Her husband, Ralph E. Day; parents, Arlie and Vie Bennett; sisters, Audrey Fields, Lydia Walls, Inez Fields; and a brother, Doyle Bennett, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Janell Day, Allen and Brittney Day, all of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Lee Lummus of Cumming; sister, Ruby Walls of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Linda Bennett of Dawsonville; brother-in-law, Earlie Fields of Cumming; sister-in-law, Floy Mills of Winder; grandchildren, Scott Lummus and Suzy Davis, Jason and Tonya Lummus, Dana and Michael Gravitt, Ricky and Jeannie Day, Daniel and Amber Day, Crystal Day, all of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Anna, Caleb, Caitlyn and Courtney Lummus, Colton and Slade Gravitt, Daisy Day, Emma and Zachary Adams, Patrick Carroll; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Oct. 20 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dan Henderson and Ray Berry officiating. Interment will follow at Haw Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
