Marie H. Steele, of White, Ga. died July 12, 2014.

Born in Swainsboro on June 27, 1931, she married Jerrell W. Steele on March 3, 1951.

She was employed at various government installations during her career and retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base in July of 1986, with 32 years of government service.

She attended Sunday school and church at Rowland Springs Baptist Church where she was a member.

Her husband of 58 years preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Carol Key of White, Ga., Roy W. Steele of Buchanan, Ginger Wood of Dawsonville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters; a brother; various other relatives also survive.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. July 16 in the Rowland Springs Baptist Church in Cartersville with the Dr. Joe Ringwalt officiating.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. July 15, 2014 at Owen Funeral Home in Cartersville and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. the day of the service at Rowland Springs Baptist Church.
