Marie Beck, 77, of Dawsonville, died May 20, 2014.

Born Oct. 31, 1936 to the late Howard and Edith Summerour Reeves, she always lived in the Dawson County area.

Marie was employed at Sweet Orr for 35 years, after which she worked several years with her sisters at Burt's Pumpkin Farm.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Her husband of 54 years, Leonard Beck; grandson, Toby Beck; and brothers, David Reeves and Ernest Reeves, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Vicki and Kenneth Graham, Rita and Bobby Kittle, Howard and Jody Beck, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Meretta and Dean Thompson of Brevard, N.C., Margaret Payne, Ethel Samples, Kathy and Johnny Burt, all of Dawsonville, Glenda and David Collins of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jill Graham, Keith Graham, Danielle and Aaron Strickland, Jeremy and Jessica Kittle, Jerry Croy, Jamie Croy, Kayla Croy; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 23 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Russell Burt and Danny Park officiating. Interment followed in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
