Marie Ann Luranc, 79, of Dawsonville, died Jan. 3, 2018. Marie was born in Utica, N.Y. in 1938, the first child and only daughter of Dante and Rose D’Amelio. She spent her first 14 years on the family’s dairy farm in Frankfurt, N.Y. where her beautiful baby face was featured on D’Amelio Dairies’ milk label. Along with her younger brother, John, and many cousins, Marie attended a one-room schoolhouse on the family farm property.
