Margaret Daniel Payne, 70, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 4, 2015.

Born Feb. 3, 1945 to the late Howard and Edith Reeves, she lived all her life in the Dawson County area.

A homemaker at her death, Margaret enjoyed the outdoors and loved her family.

She was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.

Her husband, Paul Payne; son, Johnny Daniel; sister, Marie Beck; and brothers, David Reeves and Ernest Reeves, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Sandra Gilleland, Karen and Boy Chester, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Shawna Daniel, Cory and Cherish Gilleland, Kevin Gilleland, Alan and Lauren Gilleland, Colton Chester, Brody Chester; five great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Meretta and Dean Thompson of Brevard, N.C., Ethel Samples, Kathy and Johnny Burt, all of Dawsonville, Glenda and David Collins of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Cory Gilleland and Dean Thompson officiating. Interment followed in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
