Mamie Lois Ray, 73, of Dawsonville, died July 2, 2010.

  

Born Aug. 27, 1936 to the late Robert and Fannie Bell Jones, she was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County.

  

Mrs. Ray was formerly employed at Pine Tree in Dahlonega, at Brenda Mays Restaurant, High Tech Marble and attended the Auraria Church of Almighty God.

  

She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who always devoted her giving spirit to others.

  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleburn Ray; sisters, Margaret Jones, Lillian Cleghorn; brothers, Paul Wesley Jones, Robert Fulton Jones, Willard Jones and Dewayne Jones.

  

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Phillip and Rissa Ray, Bobby and Michelle Ray, all of Dawsonville; sisters, Opal Ferguson, Larue Adams, both of Dawsonville; brother, Van Jones of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Corey and Julie Ann Ray, Riley and Julie Ray, Adam Ray, Reanna Ray, Seth McCrary, Sara McCrary, Luke Ray; great-grandson, Isaiah Cleburn Ray; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 5 at Auraria Church of Almighty God with the Revs. Corey Ray and Willard Fuller officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
