Lois Evans, 64, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 10, 2012.

Born June 24, 1948 to the late Charles Junior and Mary Emma Gooch, she lived most of her life in the Dawson and Lumpkin County area. Lois worked as a cosmetologist for more than 40 years and retired from Platinum Scissors.

She attended The Church at War Hill.

Her brothers, Ray Gooch and Timmy Gooch, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Trampis Evans of Dawsonville, Dawn Evans of Cumming; sisters, Edna Collins, Cindy Gooch, both of Dawsonville, Vinita Head of Gainesville, Annette Reynolds of Ball Ground, Charlene Collins, Meshell Stokes, both of Dahlonega, Melinda Carlisle of Jasper; brothers, Loy Gooch of Cleveland, Stanley Gooch of Dahlonega, Michael Gooch of Ellijay, Sam Gooch of Dawsonville, Randy Gooch of Gainesville; grandchildren, Michael Ramirez, Samantha Shubert, Elizabeth Evans, Delsin Shirley; various other relatives also survive.

At her request, she was cremated and memorial services will be held later.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
