Lois Conner Sullens, 91, of Murrayville, died Aug. 10, 2013.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved to cook and take care of her grandchildren.

She was an avid gardener, who loved to can vegetables.

She was a lifelong resident of Murrayville and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

Her husband, Robert Stuard Sullens; parents, D.C. and Dovie Hughes Conner; sister and brother-in-law, Valerie and Ralph Farr, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Claudine and Glendon Jones, Melinda and Bert McCumber, all of Murrayville, Bruce and Joyce Sullens of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Scott and Gina Jones, Sharon and Brad Head, Timothy and Lisa Sullens, Jason and Amy Sullens, Clint and Lyndsey Freeland; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Jonathan Martin, Stephanie and Daniel Davis, Logan Head, Claudia Head, Hannah and Savanna Sullens, Coleman, Emily and Audrey Sullens and Jack Dorsey Freeland; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Edward Anderson, Bobbie and L.G. Mullinax; brother, Glen Conner; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 12, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Rodgers, David Skinner and Larry Watkins officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery.

Dahlonega Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
