Lewis Boyd Griffin, 83, of Dawsonville, died July 26, 2017.

He was born on Aug. 13, 1933 in Decatur, the son of John and Sema Goodwin Griffin, both preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Griffin; various other relatives also survive.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Aug. 2 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, where a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
