Leonard Shoemake, 76, of Dawsonville died Sept. 28, 2017. Born May 22, 1941 to the late Roy and Ila Shoemake, Leonard had been a resident of Dawsonville for almost 30 years coming from Forsyth County. He was a member of Settendown Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. For many years he worked as a truck driver for North Georgia Rendering, and also worked at Liberty Middle School in Cumming as a custodian until his retirement.
