Larry J. Thomas, 73, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 26, 2017.

Mr. Thomas was born April 30, 1944 in Copperhill, Tenn. He had been a resident of Dawson County for 12 years coming from Roswell. A U.S. Army veteran, he retired from Pretrial Services, Superior Court of Fulton County.

His parents, Howard and Virda Lee Thomas; and sister, Sandra Dunn, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Shirley Thomas of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.  

The family is planning private memorial services.
