Landon Daugherty, 38, of Gainesville, died May 8, 2015.

Born June 18, 1976 in Eustis, Fla., he moved to Georgia in 1993 and had been living in Forsyth County since 2008.

Landon owned and operated Summit Home Improvements Inc. and enjoyed riding his Harley and camping.

His father, Buddy Daugherty, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Daugherty of Gainesville; daughters, Amanda Daugherty of Clinton, Mo., Kara Parker of Gainesville; son, Thomas Parker of Gainesville; grandsons, Caden Daugherty, Michael Daugherty; mother and stepfather, Cindy and Terry Gillim of Dawsonville; grandmother, Connie Wood of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Lisa and Jeff Barrow of Fayetteville, Tara Gillim of Hanover Park, Ill., Tina Valazquez of Streamwood, Ill.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lee and Erin Morgan of Lawrenceville, Kurtis and Penny Daugherty of Cookville, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Dollie Wilkins of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 12 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Hicks officiating. Interment followed at Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery in Gainesville.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
