Lana Turner Dean, 56, of Cumming, died Dec. 21, 2010.

 

She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a member of the WMU.

 

Lana loved her husband, children and grandchildren.

 

Her parents, John and Estelle Turner; sisters, Louise Mitchell, Mary Ingram, Dot Chapman, Dolly Head, Shirley Dobson, Aline Wilder and Sheila Turner; brothers, Fred Turner and Harold Turner, preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, James "Jimmy" Dean of Cumming; children, Teresa and Michael Green of Ball Ground, James "Jamie" and Barbara Dean of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brittany Dean, Micah Dean, Danny Dean, Johnna Rae Dean and Elijah Green; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and Jack Heard of Ellijay, Ruby and Junior Roper of Cumming, JoAnne Wood of Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey "Jack" and Charlene Turner, John and Evalina Turner, all of Cumming; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances and Carol Waters, Arthur Head, all of Cumming, Billy Dean of Dawsonville, Linda Smith of Dahlonega; sister-in-law and special care giver, Shirley Dean; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 23 at New Harmony Baptist Church with the Revs. Johnny Purcell, Stephen Davis, Randy Roper and Collin Grant officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

 

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
