Kenneth Evans, 81, of Dawsonville, died May 17, 2013.
Born March 14, 1932 in Dawson County to the late Fred and Idelle Evans, he lived several years in Atlanta before returning to Dawson County.
Mr. Evans retired from Borden Foods after which he worked as a painter. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Full Gospel Church.
His brother, David Evans, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Nell Evans of Dawsonville; sons and daughter-in-law, Roy C. Evans of Buford, Danny and Pattie Evans of Douglasville, Larry Evans of Williston, S.C.; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Ann and Clinton Wimpy of Dahlonega; sisters and brother-in-law, Polly Seabolt of Dawsonville, Dorothy and Phil Kinsey of Clermont; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. May 19 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Leroy Blackwell and Pierce Ashmore officiating. Interment followed in the Etowah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
