Kathleen "Kathy" Patricia Sumpter, 49, of Dawsonville, died July 17, 2013.

She was born in Jacksonville, Fla.

Survivors include Ralph and Roslyn Sumpter of Cumming and Patricia and Emmette Reeves of Franklin, Va.; various other relatives also survive.

A celebration service honoring the life of Kathy was held at 1 p.m. July 20, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Mathis and Mike Frazier officiating.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
