Katherine Kent, 66, of Cumming, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2009.

Born Sept. 17, 1943 to the late Ferman and Lula Belle Kent, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

Katherine retired from Wal-Mart in Cumming after 25 years of service and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Her brother, Jack W. Kent, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Michael S. and June Bozeman of Gainesville, Valerie and Todd Binning of Cumming, Vanessa and Jim Williams of Lebanon, Tenn., Gayle Beebe, Janice and Danny Harben, Debbie Rowell, all of Dawsonville, Sherri and Bob Kelly of Dacula; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and J.M. Burt of Alpharetta; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Kathryn Kent of Savannah; grandchildren, M.J. Bozeman, Zoey Bozeman, Avery Binning, Elijah Williams, McKenzie Williams, Ashley Williams, Jimmy Williams; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Drs. Noel Ferman Burt and Sam Newman officiating. Interment followed in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
