Joseph Dale Neese, 54, of Cumming, died Oct. 7, 2014.

He was in law enforcement for 12 years. During that time he headed the Drug Task Force for Dawson, Lumpkin and White counties.

In 1992, he became co-owner of A Rapid Bonding Inc. He was a member of the Georgia Association of Professional Bondsman and was also a sponsor of the Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes.

His father, Billy Neese, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Sherri Neese; mother, Barbara Neese; children, Christy Holt (Tommy), Casey Bennett (Zack); stepdaughter, Jansen Castleberry; grandchildren, Lance, Lexi and Nalah Holt, Little Joe Bennett; business partner of 23 years, Janice Grimes; brother, Michael Neese; sister, Donna Freund (Chris); mother-in-law, Phyllis Samples; sisters-in-law, Sheila Stevens (Phil), Shelli Neims (David); various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 11 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Dave Duley officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Georgia Sheriffs Youth Homes, 2048 Youngs Mill Road, LaGrange, GA 30241 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
