Obituaries

Johnny Belon Holtzclaw, 68, of Cumming, died Sept. 28, 2017.

He was an avid hunter. Johnny will always be remembered as a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly.

His wife,  Sharon Holtzclaw; parents, Belon and Dessie Holtzclaw; brothers, Lonald, Donald and Larry Holtzclaw; and sister, Margaret Carlyle, preceded him in death.  

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Adam (Tracy) Holtzclaw of Cumming; sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Mitchell of Gainesville, and  Sandra Hamby of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Sharon Alexis Holtzclaw of Cumming; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Holtzclaw were held at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 1 in the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ruel Martin and Rev. Ronnie Sosebee officiating. Interment followed at Coal Mountain Cemetery.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sept. 29 and from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sept. 30.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory in Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
