John Walter Abbott

John Walter Abbott, 74, of Cumming, died July 16, 2010.

  

He was a lifelong truck driver and loved the Atlanta Braves.

  

His wife, Betty B. Abbott; parents; two brothers; one sister; and two nephews, preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Tabatha Abbott of Dawsonville, Stanley and Gwinn Abbott of Cumming; stepchildren, Holly and Joe Bruce of Cumming, Dennis Hall of Dahlonega; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 18 at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Tim Hubbard and Dean Pugh officiating. Interment followed in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
