John T. Pirkle, 61, of Gainesville, died July 17, 2010.

He was a former music producer, lived on Lake Lanier, loved music and nature.

Survivors include sisters, Vivian Pirkle of Foley, Ala., Nancy and Donald E. Murphey of Jonesboro, Sue Howell of Lawrenceville, Elaine Pirkle of Dawsonville; aunts and uncles, Jim and Marie Hammond, Grace Pirkle, all of Sandy Springs, Elizabeth Pirkle of Gainesville, Dottie Pirkle of Dunwoody; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. July 19 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Orr officiating. Interment followed in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
