Jimmie Ralston "Jimbo" Hamby, 84, of Cumming, died Feb. 7, 2015.

She was born in Lumpkin County, one of 11 children born to John W. and Ella Ralston.

Jimmie lived most of her life in Atlanta and Cumming. She was a Bell South retiree and a Bell South Pioneer. She was an avid member of the Easter Star Cumming Chapter No. 346 and a member of Millcreek Baptist Church.

Jimbo enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and entertaining. She lived her life with charm and dignity.

Her husband, Roy "Unc" Hamby; parents, John W. and Ella Ralston; sisters, Ollie Ralston, Clara Baker, Laura Ralston, Katie Shelton; brothers, W.I. Ralston, J.D. Ralston and John Ralston Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sisters, Geneva Smith, Martha Taylor; brother, Charles Ralston; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at noon Feb. 11 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Cecil Reeves officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
