Jerry Lyndon Bailey, 59, of Dawsonville, died June 9, 2010.

Mr. Bailey was born Oct. 16, 1950 in Forsyth County and had lived in Dawson County most of his life.

He was a retired house painter and was a member of Goshen Baptist Church in Dawson County.

His father, John Beland Bailey, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Maxine Holtzclaw of Dawsonville; sons, Scott Bailey of Cumming, Quinton Bailey of Dawsonville; sister, Sherry Duncan of Dawsonville; brothers, Larry Bailey and Mark Bailey, both of Dawsonville; six grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Mr. Bailey was cremated.

A memorial service was held at 4 p.m. June 13 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with the Rev. Hugh Fields officiating.

Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
