Janice Harben, 58, of Dawsonville, died Friday, March 19, 2010.

  

A lifelong resident of Dawson County, Janice was a graduate of Dawson County High School and Pickens Technical School with a degree in cosmetology. She was employed by the House of Beauty, after which she owned and operated Uniport. She was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church.

  

Her daughter, Danielle Harben, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Danny Harben of Dawsonville; son, Jason Harben of Dawsonville; mother, Aline Stephens of Dawsonville; father, Buddy Rowell of Dawsonville; sisters, Gayle Beebe, Debbie Rowell, both of Dawsonville, Sherri Kelly of Dacula, Valerie Binning of Cumming, Vanessa Williams of Lebanon, Tenn.; mother-in-law, Maude Harben of Dawsonville; sister-in-law, Shirley Ware of Dawsonville; brother-in-law, Sammy Harben of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 22 at Juno Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Bottoms, Sammy Harben and Tom Stradley officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

  

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Amicalola Baptist Church or Juno Baptist Church.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
