Janet Jones Pendergrass, 63, of Gainesville, died Jan. 26, 2015.

Born Dec. 2, 1951 to the late Henry Pool and Edna Lou Jones, Janet was a native of Dawson County and moved to Forsyth County 35 years ago. She was formerly employed at the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall and earlier at the Louver Shop.

Janet was a very caring and giving person who was extremely devoted to her family and friends.

Her sisters, Margie Saine, Jeannie Burt; and brothers, Carlton Ash, Lee Jones, Lonnie Jones and Lloyd "Bug" Jones, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gary Pendergrass of Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Gaddis, Ruby and Jerry Barron, both of Dawsonville, Roy Saine of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cecil Jones, Boyd "Bo" and Ruth Jones, Kathryn Jones, Dorothy Jones, Christine Jones, all of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Russell Burt and Ruel Martin officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem-Jones Chapel Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
