James W. Jett, 72, died July 13, 2010.

  

He was a native of Dawsonville and lived many years in Eden before moving to Stilson in 2006.

  

Mr. Jett was owner and operator of J & H cabinets for many years.

  

He was a member of Bloomingdale Alliance Church for over 30 years and joined Old Fellowship Baptist Church after moving to Stilson. He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.

  

Survivors include his wife, Helen Jett of Stilson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Delicia Jett of Dublin, Kenny and Ivone Jett of Eden; one daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Kenny Dickerson of Statesboro; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Hoyle and Sharon Jett of Pineora, Charles Jett of Dawsonville, Ronald and Linda Jett of Pace, Fla.; five grandchildren, Matt Jett, Cory Jett, Alissa Dickerson, Logan Jett and Dusty Jett; various other relatives also survive.

  

Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. July 22 at Old Fellowship Baptist Church.

  

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. July 22 at Old Fellowship Baptist Church with Dr. Reland Morgan and the Rev. Ken Otto officiating.

  

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
