Irma LaRue Hitt, 72, of Cumming, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009.

She was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

Her husband, L.J. Hitt; and, son, Steven Terry Hitt, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Connie Hitt of Cumming; sister, Sandra Cook of Cumming; brothers, Randall Bailey of Dawsonville, Dean Bailey of Cumming; five grandchildren, Amy and Steven Ray, Brandy and Terry Roper, Keshia and Danny Murray, Terry Hitt and Maranda Hitt; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla, Erin, Hannah, Mason, Emily, Morgan and McKenzie; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dan Henderson, Craig Richard and Butch Kirk officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
